Do you love God and want to go deeper? GROW with us. We offer studies and classes to build and encourage followers of Jesus with short term and on-going opportunities for you to grow. Our expectation is that all members will have a place of personal study.

A way to grow is to engage in personal study and prayer on a regular basis.  We encourage each member to spend time daily in the study of God's Word and to pray.
"All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives.  It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right.  God uses it to prepare and equip His people to do every good work." - 2 Timothy 3:16-17

Life Groups / Bible Studies

Simply put, Life Groups are friends you grow, laugh, and learn with. They’re the people you invite into your life – letting your guard down, growing closer to God, and investing in your spiritual walk together. Led by one or two individuals, most Life Groups are made up of 8-12 people who meet weekly in someone’s home, a coffee shop, a park, or even online.

TIMES AND LOCATIONS COMING SOON. If you are interested in leading or belonging to a Life Group, contact Mike Wadel, CLM at email address

Ministry Opportunities

Ministry Teams:

We’ve got lots of ways you can get involved and get connected with friends at White Oak UMC. From volunteering in the nursing home, to crocheting for sick friends, to caring senior ministries, children's programming, and to leading our youth… there’s a place for everyone.

Sunday Morning Teams:

It takes a lot of people to keep a church running and we need your help. From ushers, nursery workers, life group leaders, musicians and snack bringers, we’re a team. If you would like to serve on any of these teams, or have an idea for a new team! Please contact Ruthann Henley, CLM @ email address

Nursery, Little Acorns
We value our babies as gifts from God the Creator, and want you the parent to know that we are honored to take care of your little Acorn, while you study, and worship.
Our nurseries are staffed by caring individuals who have been cleared on background checks, Safe Sanctuary training and are CPR certified.

For safety measures, we ask you sign in your Little Acorn each Sunday.  Upon your first visit you will be ask to fill out an information sheet so that we can best care for your little one. For more information contact our church office.

Children, Little Oaks

Youth, Mighty Oaks

Have a teenager? Or two?
Our youth group is growing by leaps and bounds!  Currently involved in renovating a new space of their own on the third floor and raising funds for their winter retreat to Gatlinburg for the conference youth gathering, Resurrection 2020 .

They meet at least once a week to laugh, share and grow together as they support one another through the challenges of their journey to adulthood.
For more information contact Youth Leader, David Schwabenbauer, @ email address and hyper link to Youth page

Women

Our women’s ministries exist to encourage, empower, equip, and unleash women to live out their calling.

For more information contact: Hillary Morgan

Men

We believe we are guys who  are traveling-companions on a great spiritual adventure, not grim pilgrims on a death march to personal holiness. We challenge each other daily to believe the incredible news that God actually knows us, loves us, and has restored us to himself. As we follow Christ together, we find our lives progressively interrupted by righteousness, peace and joy. We are a group of guys who choose to share life together in an authentic way to glorify God and honor our families.

Contact Gary Cogar, CLM for more information.
